dc.description.abstract This report summarizes the findings of the Antarctic COVID-19 Project, which assessed the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on the Antarctic research community. Based on a global survey of researchers and support staff, the report explores the pandemic's effects on fieldwork, professional productivity, mental wellbeing, and structurally vulnerable groups such as women, caregivers, and early-career researchers. It also provides recommendations to the Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research (SCAR) to mitigate these impacts and support the community through funding, collaboration, and equitable access to opportunities. en_ZA
