Abstract

On the front page is the photo of the photographic competition winner for the edition, Hans Loots of the Department of Physiology of the University of Pretoria. In the foreword: Directors of the South African National Antarctic Programmes have now joined the Association; it is encouraged that more articles written in Afrikaans should written by scientists involved in Antarctic science.
