abstract
Robertskollen, a group of nunataks fringing an ice-rise in the northern Ahlmannryggen, western Dronning Maud Land, Antarctica, has been proposed as a potential site for a biological research programme planned to focus on the structure and functioning of nunatak ecosystems. A preliminary biological survey of the area was conduccted during the summer of 1987-88. All nunataks in the group were visited, their topography described, and their fauna and flora sampled. Here, we describe the Robertskollen area and give preliminary lists of taxa for a number of plant and animal groups.
