Evidence for former sea levels at +3 to +4m, +12 to +15 m, +30 m, +55 m, +75 m, -23m and -50 m is presented. A high plateau (c. 700 m) attributed to possible marine planation is a structural feature. The +3 to +4 m bench is provisionally dated as Eemian, the + 12 to +15 and +30 m as Middle Pleistocene, and the +55 m terrace as late Early Pleistocene. Gravel and boulders abutting the +75 m terrace are severely weathered suggesting a still earlier age. The benches below present sea level are considered to have been cut during the last glacial period.
