The small yellow building was the original power shack built in early 1948.

Abstract

The original power shack site may still be identified by seeping oil stains and a few remnants of its wooden pilings. Stumps of the line of telegraph posts going up the ridge to the original wireless station (out of view) are also still visible at ground level.
