dc.description.abstract	Public lecture to higlight the involvement and legacy of South Africa in the Antarctic region. Ria Olivier gave an introduction to the heritage, followed by Werner Nel on a Marion Island perspective and Michael Kosch of a SANAE, Antarctica perspective. This lecture included a lot of visual slides and a human perspective on scince and research in the Antarctic region - Abstract as displayed in the - Abstract booklet.
