Pooley include: whether the government will pay the expenses of transferring the islanders from Tristan da Cunha to the mainland; if the government will look after them immediately upon arrival and place them in localities congenial to them; if islanders will be considered White or Coloured.;Copy of a reply to Rev. Pooley's inquiries: namely that Union Government will not pay for the transportation of the inhabitants of Tristan da Cunha; that they need to know how many emigrants are relocating before they are able to say if they can take of them and house them; that the islanders will be considered as White.
