Abstract:

The invitation and menu of the Midwinter celebration on Antarctica, of the first South African team. SANAE 1 celebrated the middle of winter (21 June 1960 - Southern Hemisphere) with a special dinner. This celebration is a tradition amongst the international community in Antarctica.
