Abstract:

This resource is a detailed bibliometric dataset of scientific articles published since 1940's, relating to South African scientific research done at SANAE, Gough Island and Marion and Prince Edward Islands. The dataset distinguishes between the disciplines of biological science and earth and marine science. Information in this dataset include indications of authors (female/male), country of origin of author, dates of publication as well as the scientific journals in which articles were published.

The dataset may be of interest to researchers in the fields of Sociology, Anthropology, History and related fields.
