dc.description.abstract During the period of 1971/72, the geomagnetic and ionospheric programmes was established on Marion Island. In 1973 three biological programmes (i.e. bio-energetics, mammals and ornithology programmes) were added. Gough Island mainly used for meteorological studies, however further biological exploration was investigated in 1973. en_ZA
