dc.description.abstract The benthic Hydrozoa, Octocorallia and Scleractinia (Cnidaria) of subantarctic Marion and Prince Edward Islands were sampled over the period 1982-1989 by dredging, SCUBA-diving and intertidal surveys. Illustrated keys are provided for the identification of all the species recorded from the islands during this and previous surveys. Summaries are provided of the depth distributions, abundances and habitats of the species, and the geographical distribution is discussed. en_ZA
