The account of the Trans-Antarctic Expedition (TAB) 1955 to 1958 has already been told in several publications. The scientific results have been published in a series of 16 scientific reports. South Africa's participation in the expedition consisted partly of the secondment of Hannes la Grange from the SA Weather Bureau.
