Abstract:
It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to the Inaugural Marine and Antarctic Research for Innovation and Sustainability (MARiS) Early Career Researchers’ (ECRs) Conference: Celebrating Interdisciplinary Research for Polar and Ocean Solutions.
This conference brings together researchers from different career stages and diverse backgrounds, united by a shared commitment to advancing knowledge and innovation in marine and polar research. As we gather to explore the frontiers of marine and polar research, we have the opportunity to exchange ideas, build meaningful collaborations and highlight breakthroughs across diverse areas of technical, scientific and social discoveries. This conference encompasses a wide array of marine and polar themes, with the programme highlighting the interdisciplinary nature of boundary-breaking research.
The abstracts outlined in this book represent the forefront of research and innovation from a diverse array of researchers, highlighting the contributions of early-career researchers. We hope to offer a glimpse into the diverse approaches and novel solutions being developed across these research fields.
