Image in The Argus showcasing the J-Model Puma helicopter of the Department of Environmental Affairs being loaded aboard the SA Agulhas in Cape Town. The helicopter is used to support the South African Antarctic team. Below this is another image of Mike Lucas, the leader of the expedition. This material is part of a collection contributed by Mustakim Gierdien, that he used for writing his book “ From district Six to Antarctica”, published September 2025 by ALSA. |
