Abstract:
The SA Agulhas II set sail on its annual trip to Antarctica on 3 December, it did so without helicopters for the first time in more than 40 years. The absence of helicopters raises concerns over safety, emergency response, and logistical support for the South African Sanae IV base and other international partners.
