Images taken by Ben van der Walt as the chaplain during the takeover of SANAE 55 to SANAE 56 during January 2017. This series of images hav been taken during the takeover ceremony when the old team flag is taken down and the new one set up and the new team run the base. The images include the festivities and celebrations that form part of the ceremony. This function is organised by the Department of Environmental Affairs who is responsible for the logistics of SANAP. The images cover the time form 01H27 for an hour on 16 January 2017.
