dc.description.abstract The article reviews current knowledge of the species composition of the marine fish fauna (33 species) of the sub-Antarctic Prince Edward Islands in the Indian sector of the Southern Ocean and reports new distributional records for the region. Current taxonomical problems of Antarctic fishes are reviewed and biogeographical relationships with other sub-Antarctic islands of the Indian sector are discussed. en_ZA
