The paper reports the results of preliminary work to determine the amounts of energy and selected mineral elements contained in the eggs deposited by the annual breeding populations of selected species of seabirds at Marion Island. These populations together comprise more than 1.5 million birds, and there are indications that they contribute significantly to biogeochemical processes at Marion Island. |
