| dc.description.abstract | A South African research team returned home after spending 15 months in Antarctica as part of the South African National Antarctic Expedition (SANAE). They were warmly welcomed at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town by loved ones. The expedition focused on scientific research, including climate studies, ocean sampling, and equipment maintenance at both Antarctica and Marion Island. Team members shared emotional reunions and reflected on their experiences in the remote, icy landscape. | en_ZA |
