L-R: Amoré Nel (SANSA Volunteer), Anche Louw (ALSA) and Chistine de Kock (SANSA Volunteer). More about the ladies with me: Amoré Nel. Her research for the past few years has focused on novel radar and optical observations of black auroras in the upper atmosphere. Next for her is a Postdoc in Space Weather Science. Chistine de Kock. She's an Artificial Intelligence Engineer and data scientist, who started her career at the Square Kilometre Array (SKA) where she investigated the use of AI for astronomical discoveries. In 2018, at the age of 25, she's one of the Mail and Guardian 200 Young South Africans. She is planning to start with a PhD in 2019.
